The Machinist and oh, God bless the internet!
I did something stupid when I was in the city a few hours ago. I bought 2001: Space Odyssey and Life of Brian for a $30 special. Looking at my timetable and schedule for the next 120 hours, I don't think I can find the time to actually watch them. Meh.
Last night I watched The Machinist on DVD. The plot's a bit predictable, especially if you have read/watched Palahniuk's Fight Club. So? What's so special about it? I guess it's the way everything goes perfectly together to create that gloomy atmosphere needed by a story as dark as this. The plot itself revolves around a man who hasn't slept in a year and a guy called Ivan that kept on stalking him. I know that doesn't sound interesting at all. I mean, plot-wise, the movie's OK. It has an awesome twist near the end, but that's about it. As I said, it's the atmosphere. It's disturbing, yet all of it makes perfect sense when you finished watching the movie.
If you enjoyed Fight Club, you'll love this movie. But if you don't, then I'm a goddamn liar and you can kick my ass.
Christian Bale looks so skinny here, and as said in the dialogues:
"If you were any thinner, you wouldn't exist"
He lost 28 kg for his role as Trevor Reznik, and gained 46 kg afterward for Batman Begins. What a guy!
Here's a link to The Machinist (the whole movie), in .rar archives and in I-don't-know-what media format. Enjoy.
- God bless the Internet. I wouldn't add any more to that statement. However, it is my bragging rights to say that I have used my entire College Square internet bandwidth (the trick is to download in the morning, where everyone is still sleeping and getting some rest from hours and hours of baby-spawning - the walls aren't thick enough) , which is very slow, and yet I could still download 2Gig of tv shows, pr0ns and albums in the last few days (I know it doesn't seem much, but hey, this is College-fascist-Square). And oh, I don't use Torrent. Rapidshare/Megaupload is the way to go. Or not, if you have an ADSL2 connection, and uses bitTorrent like a 13 year old who just discovered pr0n and the internet (the two are perfect match for each other - it's true that the internet is created for pr0ns, and for pr0ns only. And youtube). Wanks.
I'm hungry and my friend wants us to go this place for dinner tonight:

It's called China Bar, and it's the one below that huge CMC sign.
No matter what you order there, even if it's only a salad, it will be saturated with fat; Glorious amount of fat that's totally healthy for you. Like, totally. And it tastes so damn good. Hmm.
Anyway, gotta go.
