Creationists eh?
My head hurts, and for a very good reason.

Click the link above. It's a news article on the opening of Creationist museum in the US. Creationists are anyone who believes that the world is created 6000 years ago in (just) 6 days. And that we are descendants of Adam and Eve, et cetera et cetera. The opening of this museum has sparked harsh critics from scientists and secular Christians. As it says in the article:

Museums are meant to stimulate thought, discussion and debate and a new museum, opening in the United States, is hoping to challenge and provoke the modern mindset.
The Creation Museum in Kentucky has been established to offer a different historical perspective to the theory of evolution and its creators (no pun intended) say it will offer a new way of looking at where we came from.
As I read through the article (I read this on The Age beforehand), my head was starting to hurt. In fact, it hurts so bad, I wanted to smash it open with a sharp, glassy rock.
Why? Because when you put the story of Noah's flood and the tower of Babel in the same sentence as Geology and Anthropology, that doesn't sound right. And if someone says that there were dinosaurs on Noah's Ark.. Man, my head is starting to hurt again. T-Rexs on Noah's .. Ark. And, you know, if someone says that the Grand Canyon in Colorado is carved in an instant during the Great Flood.. meh. You get the idea. It doesn't make any damn, damn sense.
There are evidences; the stuff we Geologists have been working on for the last century or so, that proves the Earth was created around 4.6 Billion years ago. And it sure as hell wasn't created in 6 days. And you know how fucking long does it take to create the Grand Canyon? It takes millions of years for the rivers in the area to create such brilliant landscape, and it sure wasn't created in one second. Even though I barely passed my Introductory Geology test, it is in my power to say this to all you creationists: What the fuck.
That is not a question, it's more of a statement. There, I stated that.
Is it so hard to accept the fact that we, as as a species, are just a large group of bacteria and single celled organisms living together in symbiosis.. as humans? That, you know, evolves into ape-man and eventually, us?
But hey, whatever floats your boat, right? After all, you are all entitled to your opinions.
