I bought the best videocard in the world, and as a geek, I screamed in orgasmic joy.

I gave in to the power-nerd urge inside of me to buy a new videocard. I thought, eh what the hell, I finished my exam, I got an extra couple hundred of dollars, so why not? Right? So the first thing I did this morning was unlocking my old 3d card from my computer. Then I took a train to Caulfield, bought this card, and went back with a glorious feeling.

Placing the card inside my motherboard wasn't hard at all (it's the second card from the bottom, the huge one), any trained monkey could do it, the hard thing was figuring out why I couldn't install the drivers for the card, which is essential for all my games and other softwares to use the card. Turns out I had to uninstall my old videocard, so that's what I did, but not before realising that I have accidentally uninstalled the driver to my ethernet ports (they're both labelled under nVidia.. so that was unfortunate).

Actually I didn't realise that I have unistalled my ethernet ports until I came to my senses. And by that, I mean when I went to the city, asked a couple of guys at a computer store if there's an USB-ethernet adapter. They kinda laughed at me, which was.. unfortunate, because there's no such thing anymore, seeing that every computer would have an ethernet port anyway nowadays.

Only then I realised that I've merely uninstalled the port, so I went to the uni computer lab and downloaded the firmwares (and the patches for my videocard, while I'm still at it). And there I was, 30 minutes later, starting playing all these games under the highest resolution and details - just for the hell of it. Of course, when you have one of the best 3d card ever, you have to use it to your advantage right?

I don't think I have come to a realisation that this is like, the 3rd best card on the market right now. I need to 'test' this with a couple of newer games. And apparently, these games aren't in my hands right now. I should definitely get those back before next week..

I am, like, the most powerful asian nerd in around Carlton. I bet nobody around here has this card yet. Bow down ye nerds, for I am your king!
