Remember when I said that last entry was going to be my last blog entry ever?

Well, I lied.

By this time tomorrow night, I'll be onboard a plane flying towards Jakarta.

I thought I might write about 2007, in terms of what I went through in Melbourne. Well, to be honest, nothing much happened. But anyway, here goes. Highlights of 2007. In Melbourne.

- Arrived in a bug-infested apartment in early February. That wasn't fun.
- Made the right choice by taking a management subject instead of this introductory chemistry subject. Turns out the lecturer was so interesting, I went to the lectures twice a week (two lectures a week, one's a repeat). I'm serious. And I would've failed that chemistry subject, definitely.
- Helped organise Melb Uni's Jazz Nite. I was the equipments officer. I don't know what the hell that means, but I get to sit around and do nothing. That was awesome.
- Was an 'Event Supervisor' for Indonesian Film Festival. I don't know what the hell that means. All I know is that I get to sit around and do nothing. It was pretty awesome.
- Worked part time at a fast food place for the first time in my life. It wasn't fun.
- Getting an executive position in a student organization. Now I have a bunch of minions to order around. Nah, just kidding.
- Add the last two points together = Not enough me-time, and thus, turns into Hulk-mode.
- Started blogging. Actually realized that I was talked about in this person's blog that I only have visited once to give compliments to, because really, it's such an excellent blog. Except for the part where you write about me. Ouch. So much for net anonymity, huh?
- Changed from a single degree to a double-degree. From engineering to engineering/science. Regardless of the outcome, this gives me more time to decide what I'm going to do with my life.
- Geology rocks. I'm glad I changed to a double degree.
- Went to the State Library for the first time ever since I got here.
- Achieved a feat that only Asians could do: Studied non stop from 1 in the afternoon until 3 in the morning. In a library. The Baileu Library.
- Took up photography as a hobby. Turns out I kinda suck at it. Hahah.
- Guitar amplifier broke down. Couldn't be bothered to get a new one. As a result, I don't play the guitar that often anymore.
- Used half of my wage from Nando's to buy a new videocard for my computer. Turns out I didn't get to use it much, since I couldn't even find the time to play videogames anymore. Except for Battlefield 2142, that is.
- Reached the rank of Captain in Battlefield 2142. Stopped playing when the game wouldn't update to the latest version. Ah well, I have to stop playing too eventually.
- Used the other half to buy a new lens for my camera. This, on the other hand, is totally worth it.
- I realised that playing videogames in a LAN cafe (i.e. warnet) with your best friends can be the most awesomest thing ever. It certainly feels like SMP all over again. And that's good, considering how fucking miserable life can be here.

Academic wise, this year went by so quickly. Especially during the second semester. I'd swear, I think I slept through a whole semester. Literally. Never came to the morning lectures. Always woke up at 12. No wonder things went by so quickly. Such as, I didn't realize that it's October already. That was a bit scary. I actually freaked out that time went by that quickly.

- I started to realize that nobody, not even God, is in control of my life, except for me.
- Discovered libertarianism. It's borderline anarchic, but ah, what the hell. Everyone deserves the right to do whatever he want with his life, so long as he does not harm others.
- Started smoking again. As I've learned to control my urges, I've realised that I don't need cigarettes to be happy. All I have to do is think of that one place, or person, that makes me happy, and there. The urge is gone. I've stopped smoking. I'm so glad I'm not yet addicted to this vile substance. And I hope I never will.
- Started drinking again. Turns out I have this subconscious desire to must have a drink every 7 days. It's true.
- I have also lost interest in shopping for new clothes, or shaving. I think I'm turning into a bitter, cynical, anti-consumerism, libertarian, atheist hippie who's wearing shitty clothes and looks like he hasn't taken a shower or a (facial) shave in months. Hahahah. Ah.. so true. I still cut my hair though. But my facial hair? Nah, I'm not going to shave this. Not until somebody tells me to.

Ah, it's been a mediocre year, actually. To think of it, nothing much happened. Except for the part where I think somebody is going to chase me down and kill me in the near future. And also for the part where I think this other person is getting so annoyed by my antics, I think this person wants to chase me down and kill me as well. Ah, make it everyone. I think most people I know would love to chase me down and skin me. To be hung on their walls. Or something.

So, a double kill. How is that even possible? Ah, caffeine-induced paranoia, fueled by alcohol and sleep deprivation.

Ah, what a year. Good night, Melbourne..and I will see you, oh Melbourne, in two months time. Cheers.
