So I went to my alma mater the other day. I did what any alumni would do when they go back to their old school, meet the teachers, get phone numbers off cute high school girls, that sort of thing. But here's the thing. I was a huge dork when I was in high school. We're not talking about Seth Cohen kind of dork. We're talking really dork dork. The worst kind. The ones with long, unkempt greasy hair and tacky Oakley glasses. That listens to emo. And does all his homework. And all that finally pays off because he manages to get a score high enough to get into Melbourne University. Not that it matters, because he just realised that Melbourne Uni is such a shitty school and he should've taken that mechanical engineering offer at RMIT instead. Pepen is a douchebag. Anyway, think Fogell from Superbad.
The only cool thing I got going back then was the fact that I played in a band. Actually, I played in 3 different bands during high school, but that's irrelevant. My point is, I was this guy that couldn't get any action back then. High school sort of sucked hard for me, romance-wise. I didn't get the high-school experience that pretty much everyone else who went to digit schools would've had. That means, no screwing around after school or whatever. Instead, it was home-school-home-videogames-repeat.
So anyway, all that aside, let me get back to my story. So I was walking pass a bunch of high school girls, and I kind of saw my ex. As soon as she saw me, she looked away. Hard. Man that sucked. It's just, I graduated 3 years ago, and I haven't made the transition from looking like a dork to a super-sexy hunk. Nah, not even close. With my dark-rimmed glasses and a now-long-greasy hair, I wasn't looking that awesome at all. In fact, I got chubbier ever since I got here.
While lamenting my lack of awesomeness, I realised that it's about time I do something about this. I need to go out more, meet new people, that sort of thing. And I also realised that I could only click with people who can speak both english and indonesian. Like, the people who could speak both language in one sentence. Pretty much kayak gw. Also, it'd be great if I can get a girl that can appreciate my geekiness. (No such thing, keep looking mate)
I like Star Wars, I'm a huge geek, I like to read Batman and Star Wars comic books, and I spend most of my waking hours playing videogames or hanging out with my friends who has, pretty much, the same hobbies as I do. I also enjoy browsing wikipedia and reading the random articles. Etc etc etc. I'm basically a lifeless geek. There maybe others that are much worse than me, but yeah.
No, I'm not desperate. Not that desperate.

Put i've experienced all those high school nothingness, romance-wise or whatever-wise. agak sedih memang. tapi setiap kali gue coba berubah with meeting new people or etc, etc.. i ended up sitting again in front of my TV watching sitcoms a whole day. hahaha menurut gue put, kuncinya cuma satu: being sombong actually pays off sometimes. haha good luck!
