Fan Service / Part 1

I was watching the Incredible Hulk, and I think fan-service movies are the best. The geeks will appreciate the in-universe references, and the average-movie goers can appreciate the movie if it's made by the right people. And cross-universe stories are just so geekingly awesome. So here's my list of films that I think should be made immediately. And by immediately, I mean right now. You know, just in case I die in a freak-mining accident or something.

Batman vs. Superman
This is a no-brainer. Who wouldn't want to see this? Read the comics, it's epic. And it should look epic on screen.

Justice League
Idem.

Star Wars Expanded Universe
The Star Wars story didn't end when Palpatine died and Vader returning to the light side. There's like, shitloads of stuff going on after Episode 6. Some are good, some are really bad. The Thrawn trilogy should be a good start. Or.. The Knights of the Old Republic series. Who's with me? YEAH!

The Sandman
Satisfy the comic book geeks. Please make a movie on The Sandman. Add some DC characters, e.g. Batman, and voila, instant awesomeness. I don't care if The Sandman is going to be a 3 hour movie, it's still The Sandman.

A Proper Hellblazer Movie (read: Constantine sucked)
John Constantine from Hellblazer is British, he's got blond hair, he's bisexual, and he does a rather kickass form of magic too.


John Constantine from the movie is Keanu Reeves. Nuff said.

Keanu Reeves is not a badass unless he's wearing a trenchcoat, flying around and beating the crap out of men in suit (read: The Matrix).

A Sequel To The Matrix
More bullet-time and mind-fuckery, please.

Chuck Norris vs. Steven Seagal
Just because I want to. And come on, who wouldn't want to see this? Here, let me illustrate its level of (potential) badass-ness.



Now, imagine both of them running towards each other, arms flailing, bullets flying everywhere, explosions surrounding them. The universe will implode on itself if they ever make that contact. It's so.. goddamn epic.

Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat vs. Tekken
One word: Supreme condensed badassness in a can that's so small I don't think it can stay there for much longer. Oh wait, that's like 12 words or something.

Si Doel: The Movie
Just because I want to.
